This is the Swim Poll of the Week for Thursday, December 2, 2021, sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know: Who had the Biggest Impact for LA Current this season?

Ryan Murphy set a new United States and ISL 50 meter backstroke record during the first day of playoff matches last week. This swim helped LA Current finish third on the first day of the competition. Even though he did not compete during the regular season, Murphy made a splash during playoffs. He won seven out of nine backstroke races in addition to the backstroke skins. Murphy tops the leaderboard with the fastest times in the 2021 ISL season in the 50 and 200 meter backstroke.

Abbey Weitzel held her own during ISL playoffs this season. She claimed second in the women’s 100 freestyle behind Emma McKeon during the second day of competition. On that same day, she was a part of a first-place mixed relay finishing with a time of 3:34.70. Weitzel continued to impress in the post-season out-touching McKeon and Ranomi Kromowidjojo in the 50-meter freestyle by one one-hundreth of a second later during competition.

Madison Wilson placed in the top five of the women’s 100-meter freestyle behind teammate Weitzel during the second playoff match of the ISL season. She then went ahead and placed second in the 200-meter freestyle match that same night. Wilson continued to place in the top-five in the same two events in following ISL playoff matches earning her team crucial points.

So which of these swimmers do you think had the biggest impact for their team? Especially as it pertained to playoffs.
