NEW COMMIT: Campbellsville University has received a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Llewellyn Crewe-Brown of South Africa.

He told Swimming World:

“I’m very glad to be joining CU. They have a big swimming team, great coaches and a team culture that fits my values and beliefs. It is also a beautiful campus and academically very strong so I know I will be really happy there! I can’t wait to join the CU tigers!”

Crewe-Brown placed fifth in the 100m back and sixth in the 100m free at the Infinity Championships LCM Gala in February. He also secured gold in the 100m back and was the runner-up in both the 50m back and 200m free at the 5th A League meet in February. At the Age Group Gala last fall, he earned four gold medals.

His best times include (LCM/SCY conversions):

  • 50 back – 25.93
  • 100 back – 54.03
  • 50 free – 21.94
  • 100 free – 46.57
  • 50 fly – 25.23

He is currently Valedictoria at his school, Graaff-Reinet. He placed sixth in the 100m back/100m free as well as seventh in the 50m breast/50m fly/50m back at the South African Schools Swimming Championship in December 2019.

When he suits up for the Tigers as a member of the class of 2025, Crewe-Brown will add valuable depth both individually and on relays.
