LAUSANNE – After testing positive for cocaine (Class S.6 Non-Specified Stimulants) following the Spain vs. Serbia match of the FINA Water Polo World League tournament on February 17, 2015, Serbia’s Nikola Raden has been dealt a provisional suspension by FINA, FINA announced yesterday.

In accordance with FINA DC Rule 7.9.1, FINA has imposed a provisional suspension that began May 7, 2015 and will last until a hearing can be made before the FINA Doping Panel.

Raden competed for Serbia at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, winning bronze medals on each occasion. Raden had been competing with the Olympiacos club, which has since terminated his contract as a result of the positive drug test.
