CANBY, OR – S.R.Smith has enhanced its commercial product line with an all new backstroke starting system for both competition and training, as well as, updating its XL Capacity Lane Line Reel.

S.R.Smith’s FINA compliant Backstroke Start System is designed to be added to virtual any starting block style, with three mounting options – in deck, pool wall or platform post.  The durable HDPE frame provides protection from harsh weather and pool environments.  A raised diamond pattern on the ledge reduces the change for slipping on the start, and the ledge height can be adjusted with one hand from in or out of the water.  Also available is a training version that attaches to most starting blocks with polyester straps that can be adjusted with stainless steel cam buckles.

The XL Capacity Lane Line reel has been a favorite on pool decks since it was introduced in 2012, with more capacity than any other storage reel on the market. The product design has recently been updated to include high density composite (HDPE) side guards with nine integrated slots for easy grip.  The expanded side guard surface helps hold the lane lines in place while being coiled on or off the reel.  The XL Capacity Lane Line Reel holds up to 985 feet (300 meters) of 4” diameter lane lines or 575 feet (175 Meters) of 6” diameter lane lines.
