Opportunity to Win Adam Peaty Olympic Swim Cap and Support 3-Year-Old Fighting Leukemia

Three-year-old Oliver Goings and his family are going through a medical ordeal that no young boy and his parents should experience, as Oliver was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. But the Swimming World, always giving and generous toward others, can provide support.

Organized by Danielle Evetts, a GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money to help the Goings family in their time of need. Here’s the catch as it pertains to the sport of swimming: Anyone who donates through the GoFundMe page will be eligible for a raffle to win an Adam Peaty swim cap from the 2016 Olympic Games, along with other memorabilia of the breaststroke champion.

According to Evetts, she mentioned Oliver’s story on Facebook and was contacted by Caroline Peaty, Adam’s mother, who put in motion the steps to donate a red cap of her son’s from the 2016 Olympics. Through that generous gesture, the opportunity exists for the Goings family to receive critical support in a time of need, and with the help of an Olympic champion who has long recognized the importance of his impact outside of the pool.

Peaty just finished up his latest dominant performance at the European Championships in Budapest, where he won individual titles in the 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke and powered a pair of British medley relays to victory. In July, he will try to go back-to-back in the 100 breaststroke at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

After donations are received on the GoFundMe page, Evetts will conduct the raffle through Facebook Live. A lucky winner will then own a piece of swimming history while the Goings family will be supported as young Oliver fights Leukemia.
