NEW COMMIT: The University of Louisville has added a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Brasília, Brazil native Fernanda Celidonio.

She will join Kim HerkleMadie Hall and Adry Kasemets as a member of the Cardinals’ class of 2025.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Louisville. It was always my dream to study in a university where I could became my best version as a student and an athlete, and today I’m so proud to say that the dream came true. I wanted to thank my parents and my coaches for being by my side all the time and always supporting me. ? GO CARDS!!!!!!”

Primarily a backstroker, Celidonio trains year-round with Minas Tenis Clube and most recently recorded a best time in the 200m IM at Troféu Chico Piscina. Last summer, she had a strong showing at the Brasileiro juvenil de inverno meet before going on to final in five events at Supercopa de Natação – Campeonato Mineiro.
