Katharine Berkoff Wins 100 Backstroke in Greensboro; Day 2 Speedo Sectional Winners

The 2021 Speedo Sectionals continued on Friday across the country. The meets scheduled to take place were in Greensboro, North Carolina; Fullerton, California; Roseville, California; Geneva, Ohio and Austin, Texas (Western Region).

The Greensboro meet is the 2021 ESSZ Summer Long Course Championship and has multiple NCAA champions competing.

In Greensboro, Kentucky’s Mason Wilby won the 200 free in 1:49.68, just one hundredth of a second ahead of Louisvlle’s Nicolas Albiero (1:49.69).

Meanwhile, NC State NCAA champion Katharine Berkhoff won the 100 backstroke, her second win in a row at the meet.

Not every sectional had the exact same event schedule, so here is a breakdown of the event winners from the second day of sectionals.
