NEW COMMIT: NC State University has landed a big verbal commitment for their growing Class of 2026 from Olympic Trials qualifier Kennedy Noble of Avondale, Az.

She will join Emma Hastings and Katherine Helms in Raleigh at the start of the 2022-23 season.

Noble was named Swimming World’s Up & Comer in August 2018.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am beyond thrilled and honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my journey in swim and study at NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY!! Thank you to everyone who have helped me get to this point!! I can’t wait to be apart of the wolfpack family!! GO PACK?❣️

Noble does her club swimming with YMCA Westside Silver Fins and collected six gold medals at Arizona Seniors in February. At the Toyota U.S. Open in December, she placed 12th in the 100m back and 18th in the 200m back. Noble also placed fifth in the 200 back at Juniors West in December 2018.

In summer 2019, she won the 100m back and was the runner-up in the 200m back at Junior Nationals.

Her best times include:

  • 50 back – 25.20
  • 100 back – 52.49
  • 200 back – 1:54.47
  • 50 free – 23.52
  • 100 free – 49.81
  • 200 free – 1:49.71
  • 100 fly – 53.74
  • 200 fly – 2:02.10
  • 200 IM – 2:00.87
  • 400 IM – 4:16.76

Currently a junior at Millennium High School, Noble won the 100 back and the 200 IM during her sophomore season at the Arizona DII State Championships. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American also collected gold in those events at the Arizona Meet of Champions.

As a sophomore, she set a new Arizona state record in the 100 back with a quick 52.73.

Even with just under two years to go before suiting up for the Wolfpack in the fall of 2022, Noble will make an immediate impact and will join a backstroke group led by Katharine Berkoff and Annabel Crush. She would’ve scored in the A-final of both backstroke events at the 2020 ACC Championships where NC State finished second overall in the team standings behind Virginia.
