Isabel Ivey, Marcos Lavado Among Leaders On Speedo Sectionals Plantation Psych Sheets

Speedo Sectionals moves to Plantation, Florida this weekend. The meet features some young, dominant club swimmers alongside some older talent.

Amelia Maughan, swimming unattached, enters the meet dominant in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle. She’s the top seed in the 100 and 200, while falling in fifth in the 50. Her Florida teammate Georgia Marris, also swimming unattached, has four top five seeds in the 200 free, 100 fly, 400 free and 100 free. Talia Bates of Gator Swim Club is the top seed in the 50 free.

On the distance side, Andreina Pinto is the top seed in the 400 and 800, as well as the 200 fly.

Isabel Ivey of Gator Swim Club is poised to impress at the meet. She’s the top seed in the 200 IM, 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke, as well as in the top five of the 400 free and 200 fly.

South Florida Aquatic Club’s Carolina Colorado is the top seed in the 50 back and 50 fly, as well as second in the 100 fly and 100 back.

On the men’s side, Marcos Lavado of Azura Florida Aquatic is the top seed in multiple events, including the 200 free, 400 free and 200 fly, while he falls in second in the 100 fly, sixth in the 50 fly, and sixth in the 100 free.

Sean Campsie of Gator Swim Club is seeded first in the men’s 100 fly, second in the 50 fly and third in the 200 fly. His teammate Corey Main is another favorite, seeded first in the 100 and 200 back, as well as the 50 and 100 free. He also picks up the second seed in the 200 free.

The meet begins Thursday with the women’s 1500 and men’s 800.
