Futures Qualifier Skylar Brgoch Lends Verbal Commitment to Washington State

NEW COMMIT: Washington State University has received a new verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Futures qualifier Skylar Brgoch of Aurora, Colorado.

She will join Emily Lundgren and Kirsten de Goede as a member of the Cougars’ Class of 2026.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic journey at Washington State University!! I look forward to being part of an incredible swim family and am very thankful for the opportunity to swim for such an amazing program under the leadership of Coach Leach! Thank you to my family, friends, teammates and coaches for supporting me! GO COUGS!!!”

A freestyler and butterflyer, Brgoch trains year-round with Aces Swim Club and most recently earned five best times at Western Zone Seniors where her highest finish was a 10th-place showing in the 100m fly. Back in March, she notched five lifetime bests at the Colorado Connections Invite, earning bronze in the 100 fly.

Her best times include:

50 free – 24.59
100 free – 53.16
200 free – 1:54.90
50 fly – 26.60
100 fly – 55.65
200 fly – 2:10.53

Also competing for Cherokee Trail High School, Brgoch owns five team records and three pool records. She has competed at the Colorado 5A State Championships the last three years.

Brgoch is a great pickup for the Cougars both individually and for relays. Her 100 fly time would’ve scored in the B-final of that event at the 2021 Pac-12 Championships.
