Colorado State Champion Finley Anderson Selects Cal For 2024

NEW COMMIT: The University of California, Berkley has received a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from backstroker Finley Anderson of Evergreen, Colorado.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of California Berkeley where I will be continuing my academic and athletic career!! I can’t thank my family, coaches, and friends enough who have helped me get to this point! GO BEARS!!!”

Anderson trains year-round with University of Denver Hilltoppers and finished fourth in the 200 back and 11th in the 100 back at Juniors West last month. She most recently competed at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville where she raced to fifth in the 200m back.

Last summer, she took sixth in the 200m back at Junior Nationals.

Her best times include:

200 back – 1:53.60
100 back – 53.58
50 back – 25.93
200 IM – 2:03.35
100 free – 52.86

Currently a junior at Evergreen High School, Anderson won the 100 back and 100 fly at the 2022 Colorado 3A State Championships. She placed fourth and second, respectively, in those events during her freshman season.
