Colorado 5A State Bronze Medallist Lyndsey Wehr Sends 2021 Verbal to Minnesota

NEW COMMIT: The University of Minnesota has recently received a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2021 from Lyndsey Wehr of Highlands Ranch, Colo.

She will suit up for the Golden Gophers as a member of the class of 2025 along with Hannah CornishOksana Chaput, and Eliot Kennedy.

A talented freestyler, Wehr owns a pair of Junior National cuts and does her club swimming with Highlands Ranch Aquatics. She recently had a trio of top-10 finishes at Potomac Valley Seniors after competing at Juniors West in December. Last summer, she had a strong showing at Colorado LCM Seniors before going on to notch 100% best times at Des Moines Futures.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.28
  • 100 free – 51.04
  • 200 free – 1:51.82

Also competing for Arapahoe Senior High School, Wehr is a three-time Colorado 5A State Championship finalist. She earned bronze in the 50 free and placed fifth in the 100 free as a junior while taking 14th in the former event during her sophomore season.
