Breaststroker Collin Feliciano Lends Commitment to Eastern Illinois University

NEW COMMIT: Eastern Illinois University has received a new commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Collin Feliciano of Stafford, Va.

Regarding his commitment:

“I am proud to announce I will be furthering my education and swimming Division I at Eastern Illinois University! I want to thank everyone who has believed in me and my dream to swim in college. I cannot wait to see what this next chapter in life has in store for me. I am thrilled to finally say…Officially committed! #bleedblue”

A talented breaststroker and IMer, Feliciano does his club swimming with Stafford Aquatics Team and finaled in two events at Virginia Seniors last March. In Summer 2019, he recorded three best times at Virginia LCM Seniors before going on to race four events at the NCSA Championships.

His best time includes:

100 breast – 58.11
200 breast – 2:08.99
200 IM – 1:56.55

Also competing for Brooke Point High School, Feliciano finished 10th in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the Virginia 5A State Championships as a sophomore. The week prior, he won the 100 breast and grabbed silver in the 200 IM at the Virginia 5D Region Championships.

He would’ve scored in the B-final of the 100/200 breast as well as the 200 IM at the 2020 Summit League Championships where the Panthers finished fourth in the team standings. Feliciano best times in the 100/200 breast would already top their roster, and he’s not too far of the program records either.
