American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Announces Six Candidates For Board of Directors Positions

The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Board of Directors Governance Committee is pleased to announce the following candidates will be running for five open positions on the ASCA Board of Directors in the upcoming election on Sept. 16-17, 2021.

Candidates for ASCA Board of Directors:
1. Mohamed Abdelaal
2. Bill Dorenkott
3. Ellen Johnston
4. Mike Koleber
5. Emily Melina
6. Pete Motekatitis

The candidates are running for a three-year term that begins on September 17, 2021. All U.S. members of ASCA will be able to vote via electronic voting.

U.S. members will be able to cast their ballot during the voting window: September 16 at 5:00 p.m. EST through September 17 at 11:00 a.m. EST. Per ASCA bylaws, only U.S. members are eligible to vote for the ASCA Board of Directors.

An email will be sent to all U.S. members from ASCA on September 16, 2021, at 5 p.m. EST. U.S. ASCA members who do not receive an email by Thursday night, Sept. 16, should check their junk mail folder first, then send a message to publishing@swimmingcoach.org before the voting deadline to request a replacement ballot. The deadline to vote is Sept. 17 at 11:00 a.m. EST.

The newly elected members of the ASCA Board of Directors will be announced at ASCA World Clinic in Orlando after the voting is concluded and it will be posted on the ASCA website.
