The 2022 Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships continue from Irvine, California with Day 2, and the heat sheets have been released. The finals session will begin with the women’s 200 freestyle, followed by the men’s 200 freestyle, the women’s 200 breaststroke, men’s 200 breaststroke, women’s 200 backstroke and men’s 200 backstroke.

Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky is the top seed in the 200 freestyle and will be flanked by Erin Gemmell and Claire Tuggle. Jake Magahey has the top seed in the men’s 200 with Olympians Kieran Smith, Jake Mitchell and Patrick Callan all in the finals.

The top seed in the women’s 200 breaststroke is Mackenzie Looze, who surged to the top seed during the morning. She will be flanked by Ella Nelson and Anna Keating. The men’s 200 breaststroke is led by top-seeded Matt Fallon. He will be challenged by Caspar Corbeau and Will Licon.

The women’s 200 backstroke looks to be the most stacked event of the evening with Isabelle Stadden taking the top seed on the heat sheets. She will be joined by Olympians Rhyan White and Claire Curzan with Olympian Leah Smith also in the final.

In the men’s 200 backstroke, Ian Grum holds the top seed with Nick Simons and Jack Aikins also in the mix. Destin Lasco of Cal also made the final.
