FINA Announces World Cup Stops For 2014, No Competition In Berlin

BERLIN, Germany, January 5. AFTER German news channel N24 already reported about it yesterday, with the announcement of the FINA Swimming World Cup stops, it now is confirmed that Berlin will not be hosting a World Cup in 2014. According to N24, this is probably due to the fact that Berlin will already host the LEN Long Course European Championships in August. Doha, Qatar however, is going to host both a World Cup and the FINA Short Course World Championships this year.

Germany has been the only country to always host a World Cup in the history of the series, with Berlin being a regular stop since the 1999/2000 season.

The World Cup stops 2014 are
