Big Downer On Eve of Euro Short Course Champs; Florent Manaudou Out With Injury

HERNING, Denmark, December 11. ONE of the biggest storylines heading into the European Short Course Championships has been dashed as France’s Florent Manaudou is out due to a shoulder injury according to a release by the French Swimming Federation.

The most anticipated head-to-head matchup this weekend had been the Sizzling Siberian Vlad Morozov against the French sprint star Florent Manaudou, but that’s now no longer in the cards.

Manaudou, who stunned the world with a swift 45.04 in the 100 free at French Nationals, is out with a left shoulder injury. According to the Federation, Manaudou hurt his tendon last Sunday during prelims with a lesion in the tendon of his shoulder with strong inflammation.

Manaudou had planned on swimming in all of the sprint events, and would have challenged Morozov in the 50, 100 free as well as the 100 IM.
