Slovenia Short Course Nationals: Robert Zbogar Unstoppable at Meet

KRANJ, Slovenia, November 26. ROBERT Zbogar has been unstoppable at the Slovenia Short Course Nationals, winning title after title during the first three days of competition. He ended the third night with eight titles for the weekend, adding three more to his five heading into the night.

Zbogar won his first of the night with a 24.28 in the men's 50 fly. Ziga Cerkovnik (24.95) and Emil Tahirovic (24.97) completed the top three in the sprint fly. Zbogar doubled with a 56.43 in the men's 100 back, while Yuval Safra finished second in 58.23. Vid Velickovic earned third in 59.71. Zbogar's third title of the evening came by way of a 4:19.15 in the men's 400 IM. Rok Resman (4:26.05) and Nejc Jurjevcic (4:27.00) placed second and third.

Sofija Djelic topped the women's 50 fly in 27.57, while Nastija Govejsek earned second in 27.79. Pia Pavlic placed third in 28.18. Anze Tavcar snagged the men's 200 free title in 1:51.64, while Martin Bau took second in 1:52.11. Yuval Safra placed third in 1:52.92.

Anja Klinar touched in 1:58.74 for the women's 200 free crown. Ursa Bezan finished second in 1:59.32, while Mojca Sagmeister took third in 2:01.24. Anja Carman claimed the women's 100 back title in 59.98, while Pia Pavlic (1:02.86) and Iza Sencar (1:04.23) rounded out the top three.

Ursa Bezan cruised to victory in the women's 400 IM in 4:44.75. Neza Marcun touched second in 4:49.32, while Spela Bohinc placed third in 4:51.72.
