Destin Lasco At It Again, Takes Down 11-12 200 Back National Age Group Record

SEWELL, New Jersey, March 14. JUST minutes after Reece Whitley rewrote the 13-14 200-yard breaststroke record while swimming for Penn Charter at the Middle Atlantic Junior Olympics, Destin Lasco joined the fray with a new mark in the 11-12 200-yard backstroke finale.

Lasco tracked down Ryan Murphy’s 2008 200-yard backstroke National Age Group record in the event with a unofficial 1:53.42, smashing Murphy’s previous mark of 1:55.21. We are waiting on official confirmation of the swim.

Lasco is no stranger to the national age group record book, currently holding the 10-and-under 100 back as well as the 11-12 50 back records in short course yards with a 59.81 and 25.02.
