Pictures Surface of Neptune Aquatic Center Air Handler Collapse

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, New Jersey, October 21. THIS weekend, Swimming World reported about how tragedy was averted even though an air handler the length of a short course pool collapsed during warmup of a local meet at the Neptune Aquatic Center.

As previously reported, prior to the Make Some Noise 4 Kids meet hosted by the Monmouth Barracudas at the center, an air handler crashed from the roof into the bleachers.

Monmouth head coach Paul Buerck luckily made a decision earlier that morning not to use those particular bleachers, even though they are typically used for meets and practices. The air handler crashed into the bleachers with parts of the handler rolled into the pool.
