Another Big Merger in Knoxville: Pilot Aquatics, Tennessee Aquatics Unite

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, August 27. PILOT Aquatics and Tennessee Aquatics have merged to create one USA Swimming team, Tennessee Aquatics, in the Knoxville area. Matt Kredich is serving as the team’s executive director while handling his current duties as head coach for the University of Tennessee.

Kredich talked about the merger today during a taping of an interview for The Morning Swim Show that will be available in full on swimmingworld.com Wednesday beginning at midnight Pacific Daylight Time. In that interview, Kredich talked about the history of both clubs before the merger and how the management of the team will change under his direction.

Kredich goes into more detail about the merger on tomorrow’s show. He will also discuss starting the new college season, the story behind each team member starting the season wearing black caps and the two freshmen racing at the world junior swimming championships this week.
