Keenan Robinson Takes on New Role at North Baltimore Aquatic Club

BALTIMORE, Maryland, August 26. NORTH Baltimore Aquatic Club Head Coach/CEO Bob Bowman today announced that Keenan Robinson will return to the club as Director of Athlete Services.

Robinson served the 2013-2014 season as chief athletic trainer for the National Champion University of Michigan Wolverines. He was previously with NBAC for 3 years following a 5-year stint with Bowman and the Club Wolverine/Michigan programs overseeing all land based programs, athletic medicine and recovery modalities for NBAC. His broad base of expertise and certification makes him unique in world swimming.

“Keenan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our program that is second to none “said Bowman. “No one in the world has his track record of excellence in aquatic strength coaching and athletic training.”

Robinson was Head Athletic Trainer for the 2012 USA Olympic Team in London where NBAC swimmers won 11 medals including 7 gold. He was instrumental in the preparation of 6 Club Wolverine athletes who won 12 medals (10 gold) at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

“I am so grateful to the University of Michigan and part of my heart will always be in Ann Arbor,” said Robinson. “The opportunity to focus on high performance at NBAC and to rejoin the staff that has meant so much to my development over the years is too good to resist.”

Robinson will head a team of professionals in fitness, lifestyle and medical support for NBAC’s elite and developmental programs. The club has invested in state of the art training and recovery systems. “We are committed to providing an environment of excellence in every aspect of athlete development and swimming performance, “Bowman stated. “The addition of Keenan Robinson to our team is an important part of this mission.”
