INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 26. RYAN Lochte has decided to focus on the 100-meter fly tomorrow, having scratched the 400-meter IM and 50-meter back events tomorrow at the U.S. National and World Championship Trials according to heat sheets posted by meet management on Meet Mobile.

That's a huge sigh of relief from the rest of the world as reigning gold medalist in the event has decided to take the distance medley off his docket.

Lochte had one of his toughest doubles in recent memory tonight, having won both the 200 free and 200 back, but complained about how much the swims hurt in both post-race interviews. As the 28-year-old continues to extend his career, he's definitely finding ways to lighten his racing load.

That leaves the door wide open tomorrow for Tyler Clary and Chase Kalisz to put on a show, while Conor Dwyer told media members tonight that he planned on scratching the 400-meter IM as a declared false start tomorrow since he is on the official heat sheet.
