Lawrence, Godsoe, Townsend Ready for Arena Grand Prix — Are You?

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, May 9. THIS weekend, the Arena Grand Prix series visits Charlotte, N.C., where Olympians and national champions are getting set to race in one of the most prestigious in-season meets in the United States.

Olympian Micah Lawrence trains with SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte and took time from her preparations to get you excited as well for the four-day meet. Also joining her is South African Olympian Darian Townsend and NCAA champion Eugene Godsoe, who will both be racing for big cash prizes in several events this weekend.

Swimming World will be covering the meet from all angles, including our event-by-event recaps on swimmingworld.com. We will be offering updates as well on our Twitter and Facebook pages, as well as providing video interviews with the top athletes on swimmingworld.tv.

Today's racing begins at 4 p.m. Eastern time with the women's 1500 freestyle, featuring Olympians Katie Ledecky and Chloe Sutton, and the men's 800 freestyle, with Michael Kleuh and Connor Jaeger set to battle for the title.
