SwimmingWorld.TV Presents Bob Bowman's ASCA Coach of the Year Acceptance Speech -- September 23, 2012

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, September 23. BOB Bowman accepted his record-breaking fifth Coach of the Year honor a few weeks ago at the American Swimming Coaches Association's world clinic, and SwimmingWorld.TV is pleased to bring you video of that speech.

Bowman, who guided Michael Phelps to six more medals in his final Olympic appearance and coached Allison Schmitt to five medals of her own, thanked his entire staff at North Balitmore Aquatic Club for making it all happen, as well as Georgia's head coach Jack Bauerle and then-assistant coach Carol Capitani for allowing Bowman to coach Schmitt in the Olympic year. Bowman also advised coaches to remember the relationships they have with their swimmers, and to treasure them always.

Our final phase of videos from the 2012 ASCA clinic includes acceptance speeches by the coaches inducted into the ASCA Hall of Fame, including Gregg Troy, Jack Ridley and Karen Moe Humphreys. Visit our ASCA landing page for more videos from Las Vegas!
