Todd Sousa Convicted of Sex With Minor

IRVINE, California, October 29. TODD Sousa, who was added to USA Swimming's Individuals Permanently Suspended or Ineligible list in April 2011, has now been convicted of his crimes, according to the Orange County Register.

Sousa, who owned the swim school Swim Ventures and was an age group coach at the Aquazot Swim Club in Irvine, pleaded guilty to "13 felony counts of lewd acts on a child, three felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor" according to the article by the <>Orange County Register.

The report further states that Sousa had groomed the 15-year-old girl for sexual contact, which became full blown sex acts starting April 2010 until Feb. 18 2011, after which the girl's friend told her parents, which led to the authorities being brought into the situation.
