FINA World Junior Synchronized Swimming Championships Begin Tomorrow

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, September 11. THE world will be introduced to the next generation of synchronized swimming talents at the 13th edition of the FINA World Junior Synchronized Swimming Championships, organized in the Mediterranean city of Volos (GRE) from Sept. 12-16, 2012.

Junior national teams (aged 15 to 18 years old) from all around the world will gather to compete in the following events: Solo, Duet, Team and Free Combination (preliminaries and finals) and a figure competition.

25 nations will be represented in Volos: Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru and Russia.


In the last edition (Indianapolis, USA in 2010), Russia blitzed to win all titles at stake. The teams of Canada, China and Ukraine also climbed the podium.
