Morning Swim Show: Stephanie Nasson Ready To Represent Boston University At NCAA Meet With Coach Bill Smyth

PHOENIX, Arizona, March 12. BOSTON University swimmer Stephanie Nasson and head coach Bill Smyth join today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show in the middle of preparing for the NCAA championships.

Nasson is the first Boston University swimmer to qualify for the NCAA championships in 26 years, and she talks about training for the 500 and 1650 freestyles. Smyth, who competed at the NCAA level at Virginia, also discusses how he’s getting Nasson ready for the meet and what attributes have helped her achieve this milestone. With Nasson being the only NCAA qualifier for BU, she’s been training alone for the past few days while her teammates enjoy spring break. But she’s had plenty of support since the Patriot League championships, where she made her qualifying time, and she said that has helped her during her long double workouts this week.
