Morning Swim Show: Danny Tucker’s Unusual Pre-Race Ritual

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 5. SPRINTER Danny Tucker joins today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show to talk about his surprising swim in the 50-yard freestyle that ranks as the fastest college time so far this season.

The 19.87 Tucker swam at an invitational meet a couple of weeks ago not only marked the Purdue senior’s first time under 20 in-season, but it gave him confidence that he can race the big guns at the Big Ten championships. He talks about what went right in that swim, and what has been going right the past few months, which included a win in the 100 free at the U.S. Open. Tucker has an unusual pre-race ritual that he has been using for a while, and he talks about how it started, and any other things he does on race day.
