Morning Swim Show: Elizabeth Beisel On Turning 21, Starting Senior Year

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 26. ELIZABETH Beisel joins today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show on the cusp of starting her senior year at the University of Florida.

Though not as lavish as Ryan Lochte’s birthday party, Beisel says she was happy to celebrate her 21st birthday at home in Rhode Island with friends and family. She had a lot to celebrate, including a bronze medal in the 400 IM at the world championships. She talks about that race, trying to get under the 4:31 barrier and what it was like racing Katinka Hosszu in Barcelona. Beisel believes the Florida Gators are primed for great things this season, and she’s confident the freshman class will help the upperclassmen achieve the goal of placing high at the NCAAs. She also talks about her academic plans, and when she expects to graduate. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.
