PHOENIX, Arizona, July 4. ON today's edition of The Morning Swim Show we bring you special footage from the 1963 indoor AAU swimming nationals, featuring two Olympians who would break records at the meet.

Just as we look back on the history of the United States on Independence Day, it's always important to look back and appreciate the history of the sport of swimming, as we do on today's show. In these videos from the International Swimming Hall of Fame, we can see Ginny Duenkel win the 20 backstroke in American record time, and witness a young Donna de Varona win the 200 individual medley in record time as well. These two helped blaze a trail for women in sports today, and we hope you enjoy this blast from the past! Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.
