Morning Swim Show: Ian Silverman Has Paralympic World Record In His Sights

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 11. PARALYMPIC champion Ian Silverman joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show to talk about his preparation for the upcoming International Paralympic Committee's world championships.

Silverman has recently returned to his hometown of Baltimore after an extensive training camp in Colorado Springs. He talks about training for distance freestyle at altitude and how the time in Colorado will help him chase the world record in the 400 freestyle and earn multiple medals this summer in Montreal. He also details the history behind his disability, which affects the muscles in his legs, and how it affects his swimming. He's part of some rich history at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club, as well as the McDonogh School, where he will be a senior in the fall.
