Morning Swim Show: What Will St. Louis Offer As Host of 2016 Olympic Trials?

PHOENIX, Arizona, April 23. WE continue our series of interviews with the three finalists in the bid to host the 2016 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show, featuring Frank Viverito, the president of the St. Louis Sports Commission.

Viverito talks about how Omaha's hosting of the Olympic Trials in 2008 and 2012 sparked the idea for St. Louis to put on the meet in 2016, and why St. Louis will offer a better experience for athletes and spectators. In addition to the support he's received from the swimming community in St. Louis, he talks about the goal of using budgeted funds to help create a “legacy of swimming” in St. Louis through outreach to minorities.
