China won't be sweeping the gold medals at the Moscow stop of the FINA Diving World Series this weekend, having faltered on the men's platform synchro event today. The duo of Yue Lin and Liang Huo, who are the reigning Olympic gold medalists, finished fourth, with Germany's Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein taking the gold by just 1.3 points over the American duo of David Boudia and Nick McCrory.
China did win the other three events on the program today. Wu Minxia and He Zi took the women's three-meter synchro handily over Italy, and the Americans, Kelci Bryant and Abby Johnston, won the bronze. He Chong won the men's three-meter individual event by 20 points over two Russians, and Troy Dumais of the United States placed fifth. China went 1-2 in the women's individual platform event, with Hu Yadan and Chen Ruolin taking gold and silver.
