Software Engineer

Reports to: Mark Stephens, Product Manager

You will be intimately involved in the development of new web applications for FINIS products and in house development of Magento Ecommerce extensions for FINISinc.com. You will work with Product Development to determine and implement new features for FINIS web properties that integrate with future FINIS products.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as in-house development lead for custom application development of swimming related software products
• Develop and implement custom Magento extensions & features to improve ecommerce performance
• Assist in management of technical 3rd party development teams
• Work closely with Marketing, Product development, and Operations teams to improve company branding and customer presence
• Ongoing development of existing blog (WordPress) and Support site as needed
• Utilize web analytics to guide ongoing web improvement and development
• Manage in-house servers and databases

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of PHP, Java, or .NET (or other object-oriented language) programming experience
• 1-2 years of MySQL database experience (or other database system)
• XHTML, HTML/JavaScript knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong personal leadership skills

Preferred:
• Magento or other Zend framework experience
• Background in swimming (age group, high school, college or just for fun!) or triathlon
