FORT COLLINS, Colorado, May 19. AIR Academy captured its third straight Colorado 4A Boys State Swimming and Diving title Saturday night at Edora Pool Ice Center in Fort Collins, compiling 280 points to outdistance Thompson Valley (244) and D’Evelyn (204) for the title.

Thorne lowered his own 4A state record of 49.02 from prelims to 48.82 and won by nearly four seconds. Broomfield’s Blake Logan came in second in 52.49 and Discovery Canyon’s Daniel Liu took third (53.91).

Air Academy capped the meet with a new 4A state record in the 400 free relay.
