Don Kimble Stepping Down As Holland High School Swim Coach

HOLLAND, Michigan, March 13. DON Kimble, who has brought national prominence to Holland High School in recent years, is stepping down as boys' and girls' swimming coach to pursue a new venture at Byron Center Public Schools.

The sports website MLive.com first reported Kimble's resignation in an article posted today, but specifics on Kimble's new position in Byron Center was not mentioned. Kimble is quoted as saying the new position will not be official until the school district board formally approves his hire at Monday's meeting.

Kimble leaves behind a strong legacy at Holland, including state titles in 2007 for the boys and 2011 and 2012 for the girls. Kimble was also the coach for the squad of girls that broke the national public high school record in the 200 medley relay in November 2011.
