Holland Further Lowers National Public School Record in Finals

HOLLAND, Michigan, November 19. JUST a day after setting the national public school record in the girls 200-yard medley relay, Holland High School dropped the mark even further.

Yesterday, Courtney Bartholomew (24.62), Melissa Vandermeulen (29.43), Taylor Garcia (24.24) and Holly Morren (22.83) clocked a time of 1:41.12. That swim beat the previous record of 1:41.42 set by Carmel High last season.

Today, Bartholomew (24.66), Vandermeulen (29.38), Garcia (24.11) and Morren (22.86) bettered the record with a 1:41.01 to win the state title. Carondelet's overall, and independent, school record remains with a 1:40.73 set last year.
