BARCELONA, Spain, July 28. NO one could touch China's Qiu Bo as he closed out the diving portion of the FINA World Championships with a dominant outing in the men's 10-meter platform event.

Qiu tallied an impressive 581.00 points on the tower for the win, beating reigning Olympic gold medalist David Boudia by more than 60 points. Boudia earned silver with 517.40 points, while Germany's Sascha Klein collected bronze with a 508.55-point performance.

"Considering that I was not in my best shape before the Olympics, and also had many injuries after, I think that everyone could see that I have worked very hard. Today I got my reward," Qiu said.

With the win, Qiu is just the second diver to medal in three separate World Championship on the platform. He took silver in 2009 and gold in 2011 and this year. He joins the legendary Greg Louganis as the only other man to accomplish the feat.

"It's been a hard year for me," Boudia said. "After the gold in London 2012 and getting married, being back to competing has been tough. To me World Championships check how much I've worked, and which dives I need to improve."

China finished with nine out of 10 golds along with three silvers and two bronzes in what is one of the more impressive outings by a country.
