Highlights of Team USA at the White House

WASHINGTON DC, September 18. THIS past Friday, Swimming World Magazine posted a collection of Tweets and Twitter pictures from the US Olympic swim team's visit to the White House. Although we only featured Tweets from the swimmers, the Presidential recognition extended to all members of the US London 2012 Olympic team. On the expansive White House lawn, over 400 Team USA Olympians and Paralympians shook hands, exchange hugs and congratulations with President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

After the event, the White House Blog posted the following video, showcasing the event:

The video kicks off with Michael Phelps, but stay tuned to see a clip of President Obama talking with USA Diving Athlete of the Year David Boudia. Obama congratulates Boudia, joking that it was “[The] best performance you ever had, right at the right time!” Obama then places Boudia's gold medal over his head.

Katie Ledecky also makes an appearance! Awesome!
