AUSTIN, Texas, March 29. ALMOST immediately after finishing second to Tom Shields in the 200 butterfly at last year’s NCAA Men’s Division I Swimming and Diving Championships, Dylan Bosch was determined to surpass the U.S. Open record shared by Shields and Michael Phelps.

In this video interview, Bosch talks about the months of work put in to make that happen, including practicing his celebration routine. Those routines would be rehearsed after tough repeats in Ann Arbor, and Bosch was able to execute his bellyflop celebration after winning the race and beating the record.
