South Dakota State vs. Nebraska

LINCOLN, Nebraska, October 22. THE Nebraska swimming and diving team defeated the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State, 193-99 on Saturday afternoon at the Devaney Natatorium. It is the Husker's eighth win all-time against the Jackrabbits. The Huskers have never lost to the Jackrabbits.

Ten different Huskers contributed wins on the day. Payton Michaud won both the 1-meter and the 3-meter dive (265.95, 290.40), while Hayley Martin won the 50-yard freestyle (24.94) and the 500-yard freestyle (53.41). Bailey Pons, Kelly Dunn, Rebekah Land, Shannon Guy, Natalie Morris, Morgan Flannigan, Kristin Strecker and Ellan Dufour also added wins for the Huskers on the day.

Ashley Valdez and Morgan McLain of South Dakota State won the two final individual events of the day for South Dakota State before the Jackrabbits too the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Huskers will now travel to Houston, Texas on Oct. 28 for the Rice Invitational. Following the invite, the Huskers will return to the Devaney Natatorium on Nov. 11 for a showdown against UNO.
