UCLA Water Polo: Baker, Krikorian Named Co-Head Coaches

Current assistant coach Adam Krikorian has been promoted to share head coaching duties with Guy Baker for the UCLA men’s and women’s water polo programs, Associate Athletic Director Betsy Stephenson announced.

Krikorian, a former All-American water polo player for the Bruins from 1992-95 and captain of the 1995 national championship squad, has served as a full-time assistant for the last three years. Last spring, the Mountain View, Calif. native was the interim head coach for the women’s team while Baker coached the U.S. National Team. During his short tenure on the UCLA staff, Krikorian has assisted three national championship teams.

Baker, entering his ninth year at the helm of the UCLA water polo program, has guided five Bruin teams to national championships including four consecutive men’s and women’s crowns beginning with the men in ’95. He currently serves as the head coach for the U.S. Women’s National Team.
