Janet Evans Invitational is on the Horizon

LOS ANGELES, June 30. THE third stop on the Southern California Swim Series will be held in two weeks when the Janet Evans Invitational opens in Los Angeles. A stop on the United States Grand Prix circuit, the JEI event has become a highlight stop of the summer and will be held at the McDonald’s Swim Stadium, on the University of Southern California campus.

The meet will run from July 14-17, with the first night of finals – distance events – scheduled for 5 p.m. On the succeeding three days of action, preliminaries are slated for 9 a.m. with finals scheduled for 5 p.m. With the World Championships set for July 24-31 in Montreal, it is unclear how many members – if any – of the U.S. National Team will be in attendance, although the meet annually attracts a stellar field.
