Woodlands Smash National High School Record

The Woodlands (Texas) High School smashed the national public school 200 yard medley relay record at the Texas State High School Championships, clocking 1:31.25. The old mark of 1:31.98 was set by Houston’s Kingwood High in 1994.

The all-senior Woodlands team had the following splits: Dan Westcott 22.40, Nick Degenstein 25.70, Dennis Behrens 22.37, Matt Timberlake 20.78.

Mercersburg Academy holds the national independent school mark at 1:31.10, set in 1992.
