De Bruijn Sets World Record In 50m Butterfly

AMSTERDAM – Inge DeBruijn set a long course world record in the women’s 50m butterfly at the Dutch Championships in Amersfoort with a time of 26.54 seconds, bettering the old mark by 0.01 seconds.

The previous record was set by Amy Van Dyken of the U.S. in Phoenix, AZ, in May 1996.
