Delurgio lowers Division II 200 Breaststroke Record

LONG BEACH, Calif. March 2. THE end of Rosanna Delurgio’s collegiate swimming career is in sight. But, as the conclusion approaches, Delurgio is swimming some of the fastest times of her days at the University of California San Diego.

Preparing for the NCAA Division II Championships in Orlando from March 9-12, Delurgio broke her own NCAA divisional record in the 200 breaststroke during the Pacific Coast Swimming Conference Championships on February 19. Delurgio was timed in 2:15.31 and helped UC San Diego to the conference team title.

Delurgio is a five-time Division II national champion and has UC San Diego in position to challenge for an NCAA crown.
