PRESIDENTS’ ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (PAC) 2005 MEN’S & WOMEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS, Day One

GROVE CITY, PA, February 10. After day One of the 2005 Presidents’ Athletic Conference championships Westminster is in close battles for both men’s and women’s titles, per reports from the Conference office.

Westminster leads the men’s standings over host Grove City, 253-240, and trails Washington & Jefferson College by the closest of margins on the women’s side, 211-210.

There were two swims on day one that stood head and shoulders above the other efforts, and two freshmen led the way. Caleb Courage of Grove City exploded to a :20.76 victory in the 50 freestyle and, among the women, Kaitlyn Orstein of Washington & Jefferson College was dominant in the 200 IM at 2:03.58.
