U.S. Junior Nationals to Use the On-Line Meet Registration System

PHOENIX, February 4. THE NCSA (National Club Swimming Association) and USAS (United State Swimming) have reached an agreement to use the national On-line Meet Registration (OMR) system to submit entries for the NCSA Jr. Nationals in Orlando, FL, March 22-26, 2005.

NCSA President, Bob Gillett said, “The USAS On-line Meet Registration system has been extremely successful and the coaches love the accuracy and convenience that it provides. USA Swimming has done a great job of developing this system. We are very appreciative that we are getting the use of it for the 2005 Spring NCSA Short Course Jr. Nationals.”

The successful use of the system will be a good developmental test towards using the system for other meets around the US. Gillett said, “This is exactly the kind of partnering role that we want to play in helping develop new ideas and processes for our sport. An online system for entry into all meets is in our future. We just need to get it done.”

The NCSA Jr. Nationals will still allow for hard copy entries, but the organization is encouraging all coaches to use the On-line Meet Registration system. The system will verify all entry times, swimmer and coaches’ registration, accommodate the 50s of the strokes, relay only swimmers and accommodate bonus events.

The NCSA Junior Nationals is a national meet for club swimmers, 18 years old and under. For more information on this spring’s 2005 NCSA Short Course Junior Nationals: www.juniornationals.org
