Hokies Add Braden Holloway as Assistant Swimming Coach

BLACKSBURG, Va., August 29. THE Virginia Tech head coach Ned Skinner announced today that Braden Holloway has been named the head assistant men's and women's swim coach.

Holloway brings a wealth of experience to the Hokies' swimming program. He comes to Tech from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. As the assistant, Holloway served as the men's recruiting coordinator and guided fundraising events.

A member of the All-ACC swim team from 1998-2001 while at N.C. State, he is pleased to be joining Tech as it ventures into a new conference.

"It is good to be here and it is a great learning opportunity. I will be able to continue to grow with the program and I am excited about being back in the ACC," Holloway stated.

Graduating in December 2001 with a degree in parks, recreation and tourism management from N.C. State, he was a volunteer assistant with the Wolfpack swim team until the summer of 2002.

"We are thrilled to have Braden join our Hokie family. His knowledge of swimming and the ACC will prove valuable as we move up the rankings in the poll," Skinner said.
